As our founder and CEO, Bobby operates Capitol Tech Solutions with his core values of hard work and quality service. Bobby oversees all day-to-day operations of CTS, while also implementing the long-term strategic plan for growing our small business. He works with his team on every project, using his years of experience to help design and implement efficient solutions. Bobby has a passion for improving business experiences through custom technical solutions, and he enjoys watching our team succeed and improve every day.

Personal information:

Bobby Reed was born and raised in Shingle Springs, CA. In his spare time, he loves to spend time with his wife and three kids, play soccer, and coach kids’ sports. He met his wife floating down the lazy American River and now they have been married for 9 years! Bobby is also active in the Sacramento community, including Sacramento Rotary Club and American Marketing Association. A little-known fact about Bobby is that he was the captain of the MIT Soccer Team. Yes, they have a soccer team.

Job Description:

Howard manages the day-to-day operations of Capitol Tech Solutions. He oversees operations, profitability, and staffing to efficiently execute the CEO’s vision. His goal is to help CTS grow by identifying and eliminating inefficiencies to improve client experiences and further the organization’s goal of providing high-quality solutions.

Howard has more than 25 years of experience in management consulting. He retired in 2009 from Accenture, where he served as a partner. He completed the now-named Accenture Consulting Development Program, comparable to a PMP Certification, while with Accenture.

Personal information:

While with Accenture, then known as Arthur Anderson, Howard spent most of his career abroad in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. After the successful modernization of the country-wide railway system in Hungary, Arthur Anderson promoted Howard to partner.

While working on a modernization project in Germany, Howard ruptured his Achilles tendon around the same time his wife was going into labor at a hospital in Switzerland. Nevertheless, he managed to get transferred to the hospital his wife was giving birth. As a result, both he and his wife celebrated the birth of their daughter from hospital beds.

Howard has four children, is a Sacramento native, California State University, Sacramento, alumnus, and member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

As our Digital Marketing Project Manager, Sara leads a team of creative and technical young professionals. Her team understands the importance of client needs and delivering digital products that strategically meet those needs.

Sara is responsible for the process and implementation of website development, search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) projects. She works closely with the technical development team to plan and implement website design, create content, and guide clients through utilizing all platforms and resources available within the digital realm.

Throughout her career, Sara has held management roles within several industries including biotechnology, IT, distribution, natural foods, and lifestyle. Sara’s career began with a telephone and telephone bookselling computer hardware components and peripherals for with a computer hardware distributor. Although sales and marketing have been a common theme throughout her professional roles, project management has become her focus in the past few years.

Personal information:

Sara was born in Hartford Connecticut and was raised in Southwestern New Hampshire. In her free time, she loves to go camping, kayaking, road cycling, and mountain biking. She’s very outdoorsy.

He also delivers mission-critical enterprise solutions valued between $8 and $40 million dollars for State and Local governments in California, Colorado, Missouri, Oregon, and Wyoming. Siv ensures CTS delivers on promises made to clients. He is continually improving processes, software services, and costs to create the best value for clients. Siv’s favorite part of his job is working with his dedicated team to help them grow, deliver, and maintain a work-life balance.

Personal information:

Siv was born in Southern India. He enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Sarah, and their four-year-old son, Devan, who helps Siv and his wife relive their childhood.

As the Business Development Manager at CTS, Robert works directly with potential clients to understand their digital needs. He works with them to identify and understand their current business needs and goals. He also takes the time to ask questions that uncover any pain points they are currently facing and how they are affecting their business goals. With this information, Robert meets with our team to create the best solution that will help the company achieve their goals.

As the Primary Office Punching Bag, the other team members in our office stop by to relieve any stress by throwing whatever object they happen to be carrying at the time at Robert. He’s happy to be a vital part of keeping the office running smoothly!

Personal information:

Robert was born in Sanger, CA but raised in San Jose, CA. He moved to Sacramento in 2007 where he currently resides. Robert met his wife in 2000 and were friends for 8 years, then dated for another 7 before getting married in 2015. They raised 2 sons and 1 daughter between them. They are also the youngest grandparents Robert knows with a 3-year-old Grandson and 1-year old Granddaughter. Their lives now revolve around spending time with the grandkids. You might find them at Discovery Kingdom because they regularly go to see the animals and ride the rides.

Robert hosts a weekly podcast called the Country Mix Show. He loves to cook and host parties with his friends and family. Every year, Robert hosts a pig roast. He is a HUGE NY Yankees fan and watch every UFC event. He also enjoys traveling and going to events all over country and world. Finally, he is hopelessly addicted to the Joe Rogan Podcast.

As Creative Director, Dawn assists and guides all creative for CTS. This includes overseeing website design, producing written and graphic design content, social media graphics and strategy, as well as the overall rebranding of Capitol Tech Solutions. Dawn works collaboratively with the CTS team as well as CTS clients and partners to produce top quality creative content for all ongoing and future projects.

With over 15 years of graphic design experience Dawn has produced award- winning print and digital work for small businesses, large associations, local and national political campaigns, and everything in between. She has also served as the marketing manager for several businesses, including a large state-wide association.

In addition to her design and marketing experience, Dais is also the best-selling author of seven nonfiction books that have topped Amazon.com best-seller lists and have been featured by countless TV and print media sources.

Personal information:

Dawn was born and raised in Citrus Heights, CA and currently lives in Roseville, CA with her two small kids, two large dogs, and two average-size cats. In addition to her experience in design, marketing, and writing, Dawn is also the founder of a local nonprofit, the Throwing Starfish Foundation, which supports the most vulnerable in our community.

Job Description:

Marik is the forward-facing dynamic of the website development team. In this role, he coordinates the development of websites for new clients and is also responsible for managing the needs of our website clients who participate in our Website Support & Success program.

Marik manages website development projects for all new clients throughout the span of each 6-8-week project. He tackles each project by first understanding the needs of the client, followed by determining the requirements for the site’s design and functionality, and then remaining in constant communication with the client through each stage of their project.

When our existing clients submit website edits to the CTS team Marik acts as the liaison between our clients and the developers to assure that the updates are implemented appropriately and in accordance with best practices for user experience and website optimization.

Personal information:

Marik Knapp was born in Long Island, New York and raised in Bakersfield, California. His hobbies include fishing, hiking, and occasionally snowboarding. Marik also seeks out adventures and exploration opportunities through traveling and in within the Sacramento community. Two of his favorite adventures were when he kayaked in the Panama Canal and the time, he participated in a thirty-two-mile walk to raise money for breast cancer research.

Marik’s family includes his mother and father, Melissa and Wes Knapp, and his sister Savannah Knapp. Little known facts about Marik are that he’s scuba dive certified, and he once met Big Sean on a flight back from Chicago.

Kevin’s prior experience with digital marketing has allowed for a smooth transition into his new position at Capitol Tech Solutions. Kevin consistently stays up to date on various ways to improve ad performance so that our clients achieve the best results possible. Developing ad strategies across a wide range of industries has been an exciting and educational challenge for him at CTS.

Personal information:

Kevin was born in Rocklin, California and is the youngest of four. In his free time, Kevin likes to watch baseball (Giants) and basketball (Kings). Kevin also enjoys working on various side projects which allow him the opportunity to gain more experience in the digital marketing world.

Kevin recently married his beautiful wife, Olivia. They’re both from the Sacramento area but they met at BYU – Idaho. They met the night of Game 7 of the 2014 World Series when the Giants beat the Royals, so it was a good night all around for them.

Melissa is the point of contact for new and existing clients seeking to update or completely revamp their websites. She takes the time to understand the client’s requirements, needs, and goals, using that information to collaborate with our web development team to produce a high-quality, beautiful website.

She enjoys working with clients and executing their vision through a project’s lifecycle. Her favorite projects involve local small businesses in Sacramento, where she can see a direct impact on her community.

Personal information:

Melissa is a San Diego native and avid baseball fan. After graduating from college, she interned with the Frisco RoughRiders, the Texas Rangers Double-A affiliate, in Frisco, Texas. While there, she instituted an all-girls baseball clinic for youth student-athletes, from conceptualization to actualization.

As a former student-athlete herself, Melissa saw a need. The RoughRiders held a series of youth baseball summer camps, and each had a separate clinic. She reached out to local youth softball leagues and received an overwhelmingly positive response and turnout.

After her internship concluded, Melissa continued her career in sports management, joining the Sacramento River Cats marketing team in 2018 as a marketing coordinator, working her way up to marketing manager.

When not cheering on her favorite baseball team – the San Diego Padres – Melissa volunteers with the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sacramento, visits new breweries and spends time outdoors with her pup, Tex.

As a web developer, Alex designs and builds custom websites in WordPress, using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. She sets up data filters and conversion goals in Google Analytics to track visitor interaction with client websites. Additionally, she helps with the UI design for the eFundraising Connections platform.

Her favorite part of being a website developer and designer is that she gets to play a direct role in helping companies realize their online brand and presence. Alex enjoys using her creative and problem-solving skills to help streamline the development process for every project she takes on. Web technologies and best practices are always evolving so Alex is constantly challenging herself to keep up on the latest in her field.

Personal information:

Alex is a Sacramento native who loves the city’s art, restaurants, and weather. Her family includes her parents and her twin sister. When Alex has free time, she enjoys yoga, dancing, and making cosplay costumes. She is also a co-organizer of Puzzled Pint Sacramento, a monthly cipher-solving event hosted at rotating local bars.

Patrick writes internal and client digital marketing material for Capitol Tech Solutions, including press releases, blog posts, case studies, and website content.

For the past eight years, he worked as a feature writer, copyeditor, and breaking news reporter covering crime, education, information technology, and more in the newspaper and magazine publishing industry.

His prior experience as a newspaper reporter and magazine staff writer allows him to distill a client’s “shop talk” into easily understood concepts that convey the client’s vision accurately and succinctly. His knowledge of storytelling and journalist interview style helps clients articulate what makes them stand out amongst their competitors.

Patrick also copyedits client content, reports, award applications, and contract bids for CTS.

The Society of Professional Journalists recognized Patrick in 2014 as an SPJ Region 10 finalist in the organization’s breaking news category. He completed the Surfer SEO Writing Masterclass in February 2021.

Personal information:

Patrick is a Washington state native and the youngest of three brothers. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, he based his frame of reference for San Francisco on movies and TV. And so, he assumed Bay Area residents used cable cars for everyday public transportation.

His wife, a Sacramento native, found immense amusement in this fact. So much so that Patrick later proposed to her at the cable car station in Ghirardelli Square.

Chuck enjoys the challenge of creating successful technical interactions with customers and colleagues.

Personal information:

Chuck grew up in the suburbs around Cleveland, Ohio but moved to rural Wayne County in 1969 as he was starting high school. He lived over half his life adult life in northeastern Ohio, but he currently resides in a rural area of California amongst a large Amish community.

Chuck met his wife, Audrey, on a blind date in 1994 and the two have been married for 25 years. Chuck and Audrey currently have two granddaughters and expecting a grandson in the spring.

When Chuck isn’t hanging out with his eight cats and one dog, he can usually be found backpacking, singing, gardening, fly fishing, bird watching, or even beekeeping. Ask him about how he performed the baritone role of Doctor Bartolo in the opera ‘The Barber of Seville’ with Ohio’s University’s Opera Program in 1983 if you get the pleasure of meeting him!

Alex specializes in meeting the software development needs of local and state government agencies. At Capitol Tech Solutions, he develops CI/CD Pipelines for clients and rewrites applications to provide web- and cloud-based solutions.

He welcomes projects that allow him to learn more about software development and considers himself a constant student of the field. He enjoys witnessing the impact his projects have on an organization, whether front-end facing or behind-the-scenes.

Alex has worked in software development for more than 30 years, most of that time devoted to voting, voter registration, and voter eligibility projects.

His numerous certifications include Microsoft MCP, SCO Unix, Data General DG/UX, HP-UX, IBM A/IX, Compaq Technical Training, Microsoft Development SQL Server/BV6, and more.

Personal information:

Alex is impassioned by software development, to the degree that even when he’s not on the clock, he’s watching YouTube videos about software or database development.

Software development first took hold of Alex when he was eight years old. His father worked as an electrician and used binary math. Curious, Alex asked his father to teach him the fundamentals, and the field has enthralled him ever since.

Alex and his wife have two adult children, one in Sacramento and one in Hillsboro, Oregon. Originally from Monterrey County, he has lived in Roseville for 13 of the past 18 years. When Alex’s family can drag him away from software development, they all enjoy traveling to see their favorite bands in concert.

As a Project Manager and Developer Brady is responsible for helping school districts and 3rd party education technology applications integrate with one another. He is also responsible for scoping and estimating new applications, as well as enhancements to existing applications. Brady enjoys working at CTS because of the pride each team member takes in every project. To understand his clients better, he puts himself in their shoes, as it’s hard to understand a client’s needs if you don’t fully understand where they’re coming from.

Personal information:

Brady loves living in Sacramento because of the proximity to world-class skiing and hiking. He remembers taking many long drives with his father when he was a kid, where his father would share endless life lessons. The one piece of his father’s advice that really stuck with Brady was, “Live in the moment.” If you’re wondering what Brady is doing, he’s probably climbing, snowboarding, or “sampling” some craft beer at a brewery.

He enjoys designing and developing client ideas into functional applications using HTML, PHP, SCSS, VueJS, and JavaScript.

He is keen to deploy emerging techniques to optimize applications to create UI-friendly environments.

Jorge is an EdX-certified Full Stack Cloud Developer Professional. He has expanded his expertise by enrolling in software development courses offered by online learning and teaching marketplaces in his personal time.

Personal information:

Jorge’s love for HTML spans back to Myspace customization. He was the go-to person at his high school when classmates needed custom backgrounds, music, and designs to be displayed on their Myspace page.

In the present, Jorge used his knowledge of software development to create a companion application for his favorite board game. The web app allows users to roll a digital dice, use digital tokens, and review in-game cards and the rulebook.

When he finally does step away from computer code, he builds custom robot model kits.

Jorge is a native Californian and currently lives in Sacramento with his fiancée.

Raymond prides himself on his flexibility as a software developer for CTS. From testing to data engineering, he can tackle whatever a client’s project requires.

He has extensive experience in .NET application development and is instrumental in the cleansing and sanitation of data in preparation for data warehousing. His expertise also spans Microsoft SQL server, entity framework and AngularJS Development.

Currently, he manages the invoice items for eFundraising Connections and recently deployed the platform’s notification system.

Raymond is nearing completion of his Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification, with his sights set on becoming a Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate.

Personal information:

Born on the island of Saipan, a commonwealth of the United States, Raymond moved to the Philippines at age 9. He moved to California in 2016 and lived in the Bay Area before joining Capitol Tech Solutions.

Raymond brought his wife from the Philippines in 2018, and the couple lives in Sacramento. He is fluent in Tagalog and English.

In his downtime, he enjoys cash poker games at nearby casinos, playing basketball at his local gym, and battling online in the arena multiplayer DOTA 2.

Ed was born in beautiful Santa Barbara but was raised in Wyoming and New York. When Ed isn’t doing tech stuff, he’s enjoying life with his reptile and birds, playing with RC helicopters, or creating videos.
